Paul Balser has more than forty years of private equity and M&A experience. Mr. Balser joined the Firm in 2015.

Mr. Balser is a founding Partner of Ironwood Partners, Ironwood Manufacturing Fund and Ironwood Management Partners Fund II, LP, private equity firms based in New York City. Prior to Ironwood, Mr. Balser co-founded Generation Partners, a $325 million private equity firm with offices in Greenwich, CT and San Francisco, and was a founding Partner of Centre Partners, L.P., the managing general partner of a $150 million investment fund for the partners and affiliates of Lazard Frères & Co, LLC. Previously, Mr. Balser was a managing director of J. Henry Schroeder Banking Corp.

Mr. Balser is a graduate of Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and attended New York University Graduate Business School. He has served on over 30 public and private boards and currently serves as a director of Tweedy, Browne Fund Inc. as well as a number of private companies. Mr. Balser is Chairman of the Board of the Hudson Guild and a board member of United Neighborhood Houses. Mr. Balser also serves as a board member of the Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance, a class agent for The Lawrenceville School and Yale University, a Finance Committee member of the Hale Foundation, and a member of Business Executives for National Security and Resources For The Future.
